As researchers at University of Wollongong, we instigated development of the Early Years Toolbox to provide playful ways to understand where children are up to in their development, so that we can better align our practices to their needs. We began building Early Years Toolbox internally, but the scale of global demand meant that we needed to partner with an app development provider that could provide development, support, and expert insight to sustain and grow this work. Sockii Pty Ltd have provided this support over the past 7 years, during which time Early Years Toolbox has grown from a few basic apps to a suite of early childhood assessments with backend database supports and visualisations. Throughout this time, Sockii Pty Ltd have provided reliable service and support, timely and effective communication, and have been willing and able to grow their support for Early Years Toolbox as need and opportunity arose. The support from Sockii Pty Ltd has been instrumental in growing our Toolbox to reach >20,000 users in >50 countries – and counting – with app translations in 16 different languages.
